Assessments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We conduct assessments to identify deficits in verbal behavior, learning, and social skills. In this evaluation, we identify barriers that interfere with the development of verbal repertoire Also, includes a transition assessment which determines the best learning environment. Every 6 months, progress is evaluated over the course of a treatment program.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Behavior Assessments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It focuses on identifying the function and environmental aspects that maintain or contribute to an identified behavior. Descriptive and indirect evaluations are used for the development of a treatment plan. The goal of this evaluation is to create a treatment plan that provides proactive and reactive interventions; as well as provide functionally equivalent behaviors.<\/font><\/font><\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

Treatment Plans<\/font><\/font><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

It consists of goals and objectives to be met during therapy. The treatment plan also includes a data collection system to measure progress. This is discussed with the therapist (RBT) who is in charge of executing the plan; as well as discussed with the student’s parents. Our treatment plans are continuously supervised by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, BCBA.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

ABA Therapy<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Our RBTs provide individualized therapy created by a BCBA Each child has their individual therapist who provides 1:1 therapy We work with interventions with scientific evidence in different scenarios such as: table work, natural environment, social skills, etc. This therapy is provided at our center in Guaynabo.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n\n

RBT Supervision<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

We provide supervision of Registered Behavior Technician, RBT, only to people working for Spectrum ABA Services PR.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n

\n\n

Parent Consulting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

At this time, we provide ongoing training only to parents of children receiving therapy with Spectrum ABA Services.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)<\/h6>\n\n\n\n

Laura Maldonado, owner of Spectrum ABA Services PR, has a master\u2019s degree in psychology with a specialty in autism from Carlos Albizu University in San Juan, PR. Our Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) earned her graduate certification from the University of Massachusetts (UMASS Lowell). Laura, who has over 10 years of experience working with the functionally diverse population, developed her ABA expertise in the city of Boston, Massachusetts.<\/p>\n\n\n
